Americana Vintage.

Today the weather decided to be beautiful again! So, with all of the wonderful sunlight brightening my day, I felt like my outfit today was perfect. I had class photos with my 2nd graders in the afternoon so I also wanted something more clean-cut & modest. The result was this 60’s Americana look. One of my 2nd graders even told me, “Ms. Gianna, you look like someone artsy that come from Texas!” I thought it was hilarious. This is a great look for a fun casual day or for a picnic. I really felt like going for a picnic after the day was done.
& on a little side note, if you ever find a skirt like the one I have buy it! I’ve had this skirt since I was about 11 years old & it still fits like a glove. You can wear it on the hip or high-waisted. But, the pleating makes it look adorable with everything & with a vintage flair.

Olive Green & Leopard Print. Oh, yes. ♥

If it’s one thing that I love, it’s mixing animal prints with army/military coats or accessories. So, today when I went for a clean cut look for the crisp air today keeping it fun was a no brainer. The tans & browns of the leopard print go great with the army green/olive color of the light jacket I have. Plus, the love this jacket; I’ve had it for over a year. I wear it with almost everything & it looks great with everything. Plus, the thickness is great to keep warm & for layering when it’s like Antartica out. Definitely get something similar. For me it’s a wardrobe staple, seriously.
Also, a quick shout-out to my current (& very patient) photographer for the blog, Mr. Alvaro Huezo. He’s a great guy & has really been tolerate of how anal & detail oriented I can be sometimes. (That’s a snap shot I took of him below.)

It’s Starting to Feel Like Spring Again! (Even though it’s only February.)

Because of the nice weather that’s been around these past few days, today I decided to break out some more fresh & spring-ish from my closet. Unfortunately, the files got corrupted in the camera & when I transferred them this is all I could get! But, it’ll do for now. & yes, that adorable mutt is my Lola. She may be tiny, but she’s got a place in my heart. ♥
My advice you is not only to back up your files, but to not be afraid to bring out those fun, floral, funky prints you have in your closet! You don’t have to wait until the temperature rises. Bring them out & maybe pair it with a winter colored cardigan or shirt underneath.

Who says it’s too cold to be cute?

Even when I went skiing at White Tail today I felt the urge to change up the normal skier’s ensemble.

I’m very concerned because
my Nylon for February still hasn’t come in! Why didn’t they make December & January two separate issues? I want a new one soon! Nylon, wherefore art thou?
